When a community has a chance to shape their built environment, they see their own ability to effect positive change, right where they live. Annemarie Zwack, an artist, finds her calling in working with community groups that want to express themselves through public art using it as a Tool for Social Change. Annemarie Zwack is a visual artist who specializes in working with communities to help them realize their creative goals. She has been involved in the Community Built movement since 1997, and has facilitated the creation of community designed & made artwork, nationally and internationally. Zwack believes we are all creative beings and takes joy in fanning the flames of that creativity. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
