2025 Konosu Fireworks in Japan

We went to our first fireworks festival in Japan, Konosu Fireworks in Saitama! To cut to the chase, we highly recommend it! Unlike the experiences we've had in the states, the main event is the fireworks itself. There are food stalls everywhere but other than that it's just 2.5 hours of fireworks. They don't hold these events on a special holiday like the states so you'll be able to find events like these throughout the summer and into fall! While there are free viewing spots, events this big have premium seats for paid viewers at a reasonable cost. A lot of locals take it very seriously and will camp out to secure a prime location from early in the morning so it might be worth it to purchase seats if you don't want to go hours before.
