July 30, 2018 - Special Advisor to the President, Ivanka Trump, congratulates Mandela Fellows and wishes them success as they continue to create their legacies at the opening of the 2018 Mandela Washington Fellowship Summit. The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is a program of the U.S. Department of State and the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). Since 2014, 3,000 young leaders from every country in Sub-Saharan Africa have participated in the Fellowship. The Fellows, between the ages of 25 and 35, are accomplished innovators and leaders in their communities and countries.
