Plot The main character of the game is James Earl Cash (or simply Cash), an experienced murderer and criminal sentenced to death by injection. After the execution, Cash wakes up in the Punishment Cell City - a dysfunctional industrial town in which chaos, lawlessness and permissiveness reign. It turned out that the main character did not die, as he was injected with a drug from which he lost consciousness, and he himself was "bought out" by the former Winewood director Lionel Starkweiser so that Cash "participated" in a kind of survival game. Therefore, the main character begins to participate in the cruel game of Starkweiser. He makes his way through the areas of the Punishment Cell City, performing various tasks, as well as brutally killing all the "hunters" who get in his way. It turns out that all of them were hired by Starkweiser himself, who was helped in everything by his accomplice — Ramirez, a cruel and rude military man. During the passage of the next "game" in the zoo, Cash learns that his family has been captured by the so-called "Dogs of War". He infiltrates the enclosures, successfully freeing all four family members. After a while, Cash receives another order from the director — to go to the mall, from where it is necessary to get a videotape and see what is recorded on it. As a result, it turns out that the execution of the entire Cash family was recorded on the tape. Starkweiser explains this by saying that he couldn't just let all of Cash's family members go, and then tells him that "he's his family now." Cache breaks the TV without watching the video to the end. As a result, the main character wants revenge, but the only way to survive in this situation is to fulfill the requirements of Starkweiser. The director himself continues to bother the main character with various orders, for example: to take a homeless man through the cemetery, find a hidden tire iron and crack the lock, bring the hunter's body and show it to the surveillance camera so that the director opens the door. In the end, during the chase in a psychiatric clinic for a man in a rabbit costume, Starkweiser clearly hints to Cash that it's time for him to die, however, Cash manages to escape from the clinic through the gates, which were patrolled by Cerberus — Starkweiser's personal mercenaries. The "Dogs of War", led by Ramirez, began to hunt for Cash, however, the main character manages to kill him and escape. At this moment, he is met by a journalist who tells him that the director is Starkweiser. The journalist herself needs to get documents indicating the guilt of Starkweiser, but he managed to bribe the entire police of the Punishment Cell City, which also began the hunt for Cash. The main character helps the journalist to get into her apartment and offers her to pack up and leave the city, after which he goes to the subway and gets to the railway station, where he is once again caught by Cerberus. Cash is brought to a private farmstead, then dropped off in a garage and is about to be shot, but someone is brutally cracking down on the patrol outside. The Cerberus come to the rescue and Cash is left alone in the garage. Upon reaching the Starkweiser mansion, Cash notices that the area is reliably patrolled by Cerberus. He barely manages to break into the mansion, where another batch of Cerberus is waiting for him. Cash finds an elevator and gets into a huge attic, where he is attacked by Piggy, a madman wearing pig skin on his head and armed with a chainsaw. As a result, the main character manages to kill the Pig, and after that he meets with Starkweiser himself. Cash eviscerates and kills the director with the same chainsaw. Next comes the final cutscene with a reporter's report, in which it is reported that Starkweiser and his bodyguards were brutally murdered by an unknown killer. The further fate and location of the main character remain unknown.
