No soon as D.L.Lemon ltd parked up their John Deere X9 1100 for another season, The Forage Harvester rolled in! This was filmed on the 21.08.25, which for most farmers in the south west of England is very early for Maize harvest to begin (must be something to do with the weather)! Here we have Bob Strange in his Krone BigX 780 optimaize chomping through it with a nice variety of tractors and trailers trying to keep up with him. I think he could of done with a few more really as they had quite a distance to haul it. This field and one other was heading off to a Dairy farm near Collingbourne Kingston, as it's been pretty short on grass this year the cows need something to keep them going through the winter!
