For the second time in recent weeks, I found officers from the Toronto Police Service 55 Division parked inside the TTC yard near Coxwell and Danforth in Toronto. This has become a familiar “hangout spot,” and I’ve documented them here multiple times over the past month. This time, I saw unit 5534 and I launched Hawkeye into the sky to get a clearer perspective. From above, you can see exactly where the cruisers were positioned — tucked away in the back of the lot. Just like last time, I made the call and reported the situation to dispatch. Not long after that call went over the radio, the cruisers were back out on the streets. Let’s be clear: breaks are necessary. Every job requires time to eat, reset, and stay sharp. That’s not the issue. The issue is visibility and accountability. When crime is an ongoing concern across the city, parking deep inside a TTC yard for extended periods raises fair questions. There are plenty of locations where officers could take a break while still maintaining street presence and deterrence. This visit wasn’t as long as the previous incident — that one lasted for hours. But here’s the real question: if no one called it in, how long would they have stayed? Public servants work for the public. Oversight doesn’t only happen inside a boardroom — it also happens on sidewalks, with cameras, with citizens paying attention. Accountability isn’t hostility. It’s participation. This is your reminder: always police the police. Transparency works both ways. Music: Victim by #soundridemusic Link to Video: • No Copyright Guitar Documentary True Crime...
