Ms. Priya B.: Currently, an LL.M. student at Columbia Law School. She graduated in law from the University of Allahabad in India in 2017. Priya was then selected in Bihar Judicial Services in 2019 and thereafter, served as a trial judge (Judicial Magistrate) for around 6 years. She dealt mostly with criminal cases. During this period, Priya also served as the Assistant Registrar (Research) at the Centre for Research and Planning in the Supreme Court of India where she led the publication of two seminal reports on the “State of the Judiciary” and “Prisons in India”. She also assisted the Case Flow Management Committee in the Supreme Court.
