In November 2022, Princess Chelsea and her band The Dream Warriors recorded a live visual special at Abbey Road Studio Two. Today we present “Time” from the session. The full one-hour special will be released on 27 February and draws heavily from Princess Chelsea’s album Everything Is Going To Be Alright, which won the Taite Music Prize for outstanding artistic achievement and was recently voted #2 Best New Zealand Album of the 2020s by Rolling Stone. The special was directed by Marc Swadel and Jonathan Bree, with art direction by Pat Grimm and Reuben Sutherland, who transformed the iconic space with hundreds of colourful balloons. The magic of the room is captured via a 360-degree dolly shot, with musicians appearing through glass baffles to create depth and detail. For Beatles aficionados, the legendary Mrs Mills and Challen pianos can be spotted, while drummer David Harris is set up in “Ringo’s Corner”. To accompany the release, Lil’ Chief Records has pressed a collectible yellow LP featuring selected songs from the session.
