She has won numerous national competitions in her native Korea and the U.S. including Kyunghyang Daily News Co. Music Competition, Chosun Daily News Co. Music Competition, Korea Times Music Competition, Monthly Music Magazine Competition, Yookyoung Students Competition, Seoul Youth Chamber Music Competition, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra Concerto Competition and the University of Michigan Concerto Competition. In 2012 she won the First Prize at the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition, and presented the Winners concert successfully at the Weill Hall of Carnegie Hall. She has performed as a soloist with Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra of Czech Republic, Wieniawski Poland National Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul Chamber Orchestra, Seoul Symphony Orchestra, Chungnam Philharmonic Orchestra, Korea Soloists Orchestra and Korea Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to her appearance with orchestras, she also has appeared at numerous concerts as a soloist and a collaborative pianist including venues in Ostrava (Czech Republic), Lublin (Poland), Seoul (Korea), Kyoto, Osaka (Japan) and throughout the U.S. She has performed in master classes at several music festivals with important pianists including Hans Leigrav, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Pavel Gililov and Lev Naumov. Dr. Kim holds her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, where she studied with Arthur Greene as a recipient of the Merit Award Scholarship. She extended her study at the Manhattan School of Music, where she completed her Certificate of Professional Studies under the tutelage of Phillip Kawin. She holds her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she studied under Ian Hobson. She served as a collaborative pianist at Montclair State University in NJ, adjunct professor at Seoul Cyber University and visiting professor at Gacheon University, where she is currently working as an adjunct faculty. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- All rights of videos are reserved to WPTA USA-Missouri.
