Floral Ties | AGBO 2024 Short Film

Our Short Film for the AGBO 2024 No Sleep Till Film Fest Competition Synopsis: Catherine, a young woman, breaks down by a roadside and ventures into a nearby cornfield, where she stumbles upon a discarded journal. As she explores the field, she encounters Gordon, a young farmer who reluctantly offers to help fix her car after noticing the journal in her hands. The journal, which holds personal significance for Gordon, becomes the center of a tense exchange between them. As Gordon works on her car, Catherine browses through the journal, intrigued by its contents. Once the car is repaired, Catherine, moved by the interaction and the journal, drives off but soon turns back. She returns to give Gordon a bouquet of flowers left in her car, a gesture that brings them an unspoken connection. The film ends with both characters reflecting on their brief, meaningful encounter. Gordon smiling with the flowers, and Catherine driving away with a soft smile on her face.
