Mega Man Legends 2 - How to Dodge Roll's Slap!!

I'm here to demonstrate how to dodge the famous (or infamous?) Roll slap in MML2! Nothing to be proud of, nothing interesting either. Just showing off :P. Demonstration starts at 0:20. For those who didn't know, in MML2, where MegaMan and Roll are on a mission to rescue Joe who is stuck in the Abandoned Mine of Calinca Island, you're required to travel with Roll to the mine through the Calinca Tundra. In this area you can actually attack Roll (DO NOT do it unless you're NOT looking for the 10% discount for Special Weapon upgrades - see the Affection Guide linked to below for more information), and also pick her up - well, at least try to pick her up. If you do the latter, Roll will slap you before you can even touch her, dealing actual damage! You can actually get killed from this. To dodge the slap, simply pick + dodge roll at the same time. She can hardly not miss, unless you fail to trigger the actions at the same time... like me. Interestingly, she always shouts twice if you manage to dodge her slap.
