Why Star Wars The Last Jedi Makes No Sense - Will the Real Luke Skywalker Stand Up?

Star Wars The Last Jedi is released and will prove to be huge box office success, but LucasFilm and Disney completely redefined the Star Wars Galaxy and the characters and Force within it. In this video I review the movie so don't watch if you haven't seen it because there are some spoilers in order for me to compare and contrast the differences between this "new" Star Wars and the one created by George Lucas. Basically, Disney's JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson changed the definition of the Force and how it works and the personality traits of Luke Skywalker from the original trilogy, episodes 4 to 6 to the point that this is simply not Luke Skywalker. Now I can completely understand the various comments made by Mark Hamill in which he indicated surprise and disappointment in the direction they went with his character. They also redefined good versus evil since The Force Awakens, leaving a meaningless and confusing mess about dark and light and a need for balance which is nonsense and illogical. In essence, this is a 2 1/2 hour movie about a slow speed chase through space between Mary Poppins, I mean Princess Leia, and her few remaining ships and a totally buffoon like General Hux and Kylo Ren and their inept First Order fleet. That said, once a die hard Star Wars fan, always a die hard fan. I'll see it again and again. I'll attend the next Star Wars Celebration and continue to buy Star Wars merchandise and celebrate and enjoy my favorite movie franchise and Luke Skywalker, my favorite movie hero. I'll continue to do that no matter what direction Disney takes it, because they can't rewrite the brilliant original stories or characters that George Lucas created and brought to life for us all to enjoy. #LucasTV
