What happens if you stop following a training program and start doing random workouts instead? After more than 20 years of structured training programs as a national cycling team athlete and elite HYROX competitor, I decided to stop following a program completely and just train at home using a pull-up bar and kettlebells. No gym. No strict plan. Just bodyweight calisthenics. Training at home. Just training by feel. At first it sounded like freedom. But very quickly it turned into random workouts, skipped sessions and stalled progress. In this video I explain: • why training without a program often leads to chaos • why random workouts don’t build strength or a lean, capable body for busy men • how simple training structure in calisthenics and repetition lead to real progress • and the minimal training framework I use today After returning to a simple structure and following a consistent calisthenics training program, my results improved again: • 34 pull-ups • 51 dips • 76 push-ups The lesson is simple: Strength and capability come from consistent repetition inside a program - not random workouts. If you want to train using the exact structure I follow, you can check out the BuiltSimple Foundation program above. 0:00 Intro 0:40 Training Without Program 1:41 The Real Problem 2:19 What actually works 2:50 The Change for me 3:15 The biggest Lesson 3:50 Final Words
