071723 CROCKETT MARTIN FATAL CRASH

Just after 10 a.m a 32-year-old driver was southbound on Crockett Martin in a 1996 Mustang when he came around a curve just south of White Rock. The vehicle lost control and slid sideways into the northbound lanes where it was struck by a Hyundai Sonata that was northbound. The driver of the Sonata suffered multiple injuries and a broken leg, he was transported to HCA Conroe in stable condition by MCHD. The driver of the Mustang was pulled from the vehicle by bystanders and CPR was initiated. When Caney Creek Fire and North Montgomery County Fire arrived on the scene they took over life saving measures. However the driver was pronounced deceased on the scene. DPS investigated the crash as Montgomery Coun ty Sheriff's Office assisted with traffic control. Montgomery County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Jason Dunn ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. THe road reopened at 1 pm.
