In this episode of our Meghalaya Series, we try to give you guys a tour of POLICE BAZAR which is the major market of Shillong, and a popular shopping haunt for locals and tourists alike. In addition to an array of restaurants, hotels and big brand stores, the Police Bazaar also has a flea market section which is pocket-friendly and draws the maximum number of tourists. This colorful market is thronged by shopping enthusiasts as well as foodies. In this vlog, you will see some of the street food that you can try in Police Bazar and also experience its night market (through this video of course👀). We just love the chicken over there and would definitely recommend you guys to try it out too! Generally, we love visiting this market at night (after sunset, that is) and as it was almost during Christmas (well, technically 3 days before Christmas😛), this place was very well lit up and decorated with lights and stuff all around & it looked so amazing! Police Bazar was at a distance of 2.8 kms from our airbnb (hardly 10 minutes via local taxis which are easily available at 2 mins walking distance from our stay).
