This webinar will present some initial thoughts and analysis on the 2025 Autumn Budget with regards to the markets, business growth and the overall macroeconomic picture. Katharine Neiss, PGIM Chief European Economist, will present a response from the markets, discussing whether the chancellor managed to stabilize market sentiment to avoid further increases in borrowing costs. Stephen Millard, NIESR Deputy Director for Macroeconomic Modelling and Forecasting, will then present some initial analysis on the macroeconomic impacts of this budget, assessing this government's approach to fiscal rules and fiscal event. Mohammad Jamei, CBI Director for Economic Policy, will then present some thoughts on the potential of this budget to enable business growth and build back some confidence.
