Tesla Model 3 Reber Koni Special Active shocks + Vogtland springs Review After making a suspension upgrade on my 2021 Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD, I swapped my OEM suspension for Reber Koni Special Active shocks and Reber Vogtland springs. It was time to share my impressions after passing around 6000 km. I also got new Hankook iON EVO tires last year, so I included their review in this video as well. The benefits of Koni Special Active shocks Compared to OEM shocks, Koni’s shocks compress and rebound faster, returning the tire to the road surface more quickly. This helps eliminate harsh hits and vibration through the chassis. Additionally, the FSD technology utilises two parallel valves, automatically adjusting damping force based on the frequency of vibrations, becoming firmer on smoother surfaces and softer on harsh roads for smoother ride quality. Vogtland shocks help smoothen the transition over smaller bumps at lower speed, very noticeable when you pass over harsher speed bumps, lowered curb transitions, or when entering a parking garage at a steep angle. Generally speaking ride is much softer for such a heavy car. Results In combination, Koni and Vogtland deliver a generally better driving experience. In the city with good roads, driving feels more premium, but on bad roads, it is a much more pleasant ride, and at highway speeds, the damaged parts of the road are less noticeable. Another advantage is less noise traveling into the cabin. Combined with EV tires with a lower noise rating in decibels, it’s a quieter ride, adding to the premium feel.
