INFINITE ECLIPSE MERCH: https://ko-fi.com/amynthaeszti/shop INFINITE ECLIPSE ORIGIN Free read (FR/EN): https://www.mangadraft.com/light-nove... - Volume 2 fully publicly released end of 2025! Ebook (FR/EN): https://ko-fi.com/jycrow/shop Physical books (FR/EN): https://jycrow.bandcamp.com/merch Heya everyone! Quite a special release today (I know, it feels like I say that everytime lol) - this time is... well, some sort of test, I'd say. Considering I have some inspiration and motivation issues regarding everything music-related, I tried to do some "challenge" here: making an EP of 5 tracks, and I have a time limit to compose/mix/master each track - Basically, let's say it's like a speedrun ahah This is also why the quality might not be as good as my other songs, especially regarding the mix - some might be a bit too compressed or not properly balanced, BUT when the time was over, I didn't touch the track anymore (let say roughly a day per track). Theme of this one would be Fire and Power, hence why it's mainly epic orchestral with huge percussion and energy - something that characterize the fire-type of Virtusians: the Children of Fafnyr! In any case, here's my "commentary" track per track: 00:00 - Chant of the Salamander: This is the introduction track, quite calm and mainly with choir, with a bit of tension throughout the whole track but, honestly, this one is really soft and basic, I really don't have much to say about it lol! Here, my definition of "Salamander" would really be something linked to fire dragons or, more exactly, the "Children of Fafnyr" - Virtusians who use fire magic (the most common type of Virtusian) 02:43 - Heartforge of Virtusia: That's probably the track I like the least from this EP, mainly because I just tried to be "violent" with percussion and choir and all, but it feels like I went way too far with it. It's also a bit repetitive towards the end as I just copypaster the same pattern during the whole long rise; it was a bit too late when I changed my mind ^^" I don't really know for sure, at this moment, if I'll make a place in Virtusia that could be considered as a "Heartforge" but, in my mind, it would be very active, powerful in the craft of armors and other metal things. Let's wait until we arrive in Virtusia in the books to see how it goes ahah! 05:19 - Fafnyr's Oath: Here I wanted something a bit calmer at the beginning, with some sort of solo vocal, and light choir in background. Then, went a bit louder with the orchestra - wanted to make something a bit more "heroic" and legendary. With a proper melody as well, though without a specific following - like, a bit mysterious? idk Fafnyr is one of the legendary heroes of Virtusia - no one know if he (or she) actually existed. Basically, it's from a myth that give a distinction between the four subspecies of Virtusians, that's why I wanted to make some sort of "legendary" vibe for the track. 08:05 - Wings Over the Inferno: So... For this one, I noticed that I still had enough time, so I added a part at the end that wasn't originally planned (hence the "weird" rise-up, I wanted to use that electronic thingy then go powerful, then calm, as for this track and the next one I tried to go more into the "trailer" style than just epic). Not really fan on how I compressed/mix the big percussion in it but ye... I think it still sounds okay, imo! The image is mainly having a huge flight of Virtusian going above the most dangerous mountains/volcanoes of Virtusia. During the flight, it can go smoothly, but sometimes it might be rough with eruptions and all, basically things going boom and bam and stuff! 11:55 - Golden Fire: Final track of the EP, I added an additional part at the end, that is really trailer-vibe (I think I made something a bit similar a while ago, in "Legion"). Added some werid wobbly basses stuff, going more and more like a trailer. Basically, I like this one, probably my fave out of the five, I'd say (at the same level of the first track). I'd say that the "Golden Fire" would be some sort of special spell only Children of Fafnyr would be able to cast, something like a big AoE that makes a lot of damage everywhere, difficult to control but very destructive. I hope that you'll like this small experimental EP, even though it's much less qualitative as my other projects! Do not worry however, next project is probably something you're gonna like - a song with Celica, something about "Spitfire VS Ayzat", it seems. :p Free download: / draeconica-volume-i-fafnyr Support: https://jycrow.bandcamp.com/album/dra...
