Award-winning Journalist Andrew Cohen recently created a stir in Canadian Jewish circles with a hard-hitting article in The Globe and Mail entitled: “The Unspeakable Silence of the Canadian Jewish Establishment.” The article took mainstream Jewish organizations to task for their reticence to criticize the new hard-right Israeli government, despite this government’s disturbing agenda – an agenda which has generated unprecedented opposition within Israel, as well as in the Diaspora.
