Bonjour and Welcome in New York for New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2024! I'm Francesca, a French fashion journalist and fashion video editor specialized in Fashion Week and based in Paris, and this is my up-close and personal review of this Spring Summer 2024 Ready-to-wear New York Fashion Week! If you are new to this channel, welcome and please let me introduce you my mythology to provide these Fashion Trends reviews I edit every season of Fashion Week. First thing first: you might not be used to the fashion universe, and you have no idea of what a Fashion Week is. Fashion Week is an event during which selected fashion designers and fashion houses unveil their collections for the upcoming seasons in a series of runway shows and presentation to buyers and media influencing the fashion industry. It is the most important performance of the fashion industry as these collections define the upcoming trends and influence the entire production line of the fashion trade and surely other industries. To be in a position to define these Fashion Trends Reviews, I scrupulously attend to every show personally or digitally. New York, London, Milan and Paris, that means more than a thousand shows depending on the season. Then, it is my expertise and experience in fashion which allow me to understand and define the upcoming trends, based on my understanding and knowledge of the evolution of fashion. Fashion Weeks come one after the other but are never the same! This New York Spring Summer 2024 Fashion Week's packed schedule officially kicked off with the highly anticipated debut of the newly appointed talented Vietnamese-born Creative Director Peter Do at Helmut Lang. With a schedule noticeably party-heavy, this New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2024 fabulously celebrated the ten-year anniversary of the Creative Director Stuart Vevers at Coach at the New York Public Library, and witnessed the return of Ralph Lauren who hasn't staged a New York Fashion Week show since the pandemic and brand 3.1 Phillip Lim to the calendar; but also greeted a new class of fashion designers: Advisry, Jane Wade and specifically the CFDA's (Council of Fashion Designers of America) winner Grace Ling.
