What is MindJam? Emotional Support Through Gaming and Creativity Welcome to MindJam, a service that supports the emotional wellbeing of young people by combining gaming, creativity and meaningful connection. In this video, Dan explains what MindJam is, how it works, and how it benefits young people aged 6 to 25. MindJam takes a different approach to emotional support by using activities young people already enjoy, such as gaming and digital creative design, to build trust, confidence and communication. Our mentoring sessions are not therapy. They provide emotional support in a relaxed, child-led space, helping young people feel understood, build confidence and develop emotional resilience. Sessions use games like Minecraft, Fortnite and Roblox, alongside creative activities including game design, digital art, animation and video editing. What MindJam offers One-to-one mentoring that provides emotional support rather than therapy Emotional wellbeing and SEND support in a safe, supportive environment Child-led sessions focused on connection, confidence and self-expression Opportunities to build digital and creative skills In addition to mentoring, MindJam also provides counselling. This includes traditional talking therapy, as well as Blockjam, our bespoke counselling approach delivered inside a custom-built Minecraft world. Blockjam allows young people to engage in counselling in a way that feels familiar, creative and accessible. MindJam is about meeting young people where they are, building positive relationships and supporting emotional wellbeing in a way that feels natural and engaging. This video is for young people, parents and carers, schools and professionals who want to learn more about MindJam and our approach to emotional support and counselling.
