I just want to make a note that my ideas of how our ancestors instincts might have played out in times of scarcity are based on connections I've made between credible resources, but are also still very much just me imagining what life might have been like as hunter-gatherers. Hence why I use words like "might have". I recently just read (I forget where, sorry) that we are much more likely to worry about the present and be less worried about the future, and that this is rooted in our ancient wiring. This seemingly contradicts what I mention in my video about a "primal-like" tendency to worry we may not have enough in the future, but it makes sense that we're going to be more immediately concerned with present unmet needs than future ones. Still, whether rooted in ancient wiring or not, we can have the tendency to worry about future needs being met even if present ones are taken care of. I'm constantly coming across new information and remain open-minded. I welcome correction and any other ideas that you feel are valuable to add to this topic. How do you think we can reach for more in the most positive and healthy ways all while recognizing the enough we have today?
