When I tested YJs MGC 6 prototype, I told them that with a few adjustments it would be the best 6x6 on the market. I’m thrilled to say that they’ve done it, and that I’m confident the MGC 6 is the best on the market. Excellent speed (it’s main selling point over the shadow), stability, corner cutting, fluidity and minimal lock ups. I’m surprised most people compare it to the aoshi, as to me it feels more like a very upgraded Yuxin Red M. The wing popping from the prototype hasn’t gone entirely, but it’s reduced significantly as I’ve tightened and broken in the final version. Regardless if you’re a beginner or a world class solver, I can’t recommend the cube enough. The MGC 5 is solid, and undoubtedly the best 5x5 under $40. I’d say it’s at a similar level to the aochuang. It has excellent speed (fastest on the market) and stability. However, it does catch more and lack corner cutting compared to the valk5, which is basically why isn’t my main. However, if you turn accurately and value high speed in a cube, the MGC 5 is definitely worth a try. You can pick up these cubes as well as my lube set up: silk and DNM, at www.thecubicle.com
