Where is North? A film by Sujil Chandra Bose

A Concept film for IIID based on an abstract theme of Inner vision, or the real vision that helps to find each one's North, which would vary from person to person. The film deals with the inner vision, the hallmark of a good Architect/Designer who is the only person his work before he has even designed it. It takes shape in his brain first and slowly it enlivens him, excites him and begins to travel from his brain to all his faculties. He gives life to his work, line against line, circle in circle and square on square!. He wanders everywhere looking for that one stroke of difference. He goes to the basics of life, Space, Water, Earth, Air, Fire, the elements of life and finds it flowing into him. This is where he becomes a representative of the universe, second to the creator as his understudy. It is under his close watch that his hands begin to create the environment that he has seen with his inner vision. When he has finished creating his piece, he moves on to his next, leaving his impression, though he no longer owns it. This was a challenging attempt for me personally and in the end a highly emotionally satisfying one. Grateful to Adv K P (Krishna Prasad, Lawyer) who scored the music originally for his music album titled Atmayan. With his permission, I integrated the score into the film, with the help of Jisto of Pop Media, a sensible audio engineer with a musical background. I owe in plenty to Architect Sajan Pulimood, friend and mentor who had the faith in me and Architect Jabeen Zachariahs, the President of IIID who supported me with all her might and continues to say great things about the initiative. This is indeed a film that God made for me!
