In this recording, I test the MI robot vacuum's virtual wall (or should I say magnetic tape) that blocks the robot from going into areas that are off-limits. Latest price of Xiaomi in Amazon: http://amzn.to/2rDKC2I My observations: I like how the magnetic tape works, it blocks the robot's path but at the same time the robot really hugs it to clean whatever debris that may be scattered there. The downside is if you have a lot of areas to block off you will need to buy more but to save on money what you can do us use double sided tape like what I did here. In terms of navigation and the cleaning test, it was able to clean almost all of the oats and powder I scattered. It did leave some crumbs around the chair area and on the edge near the door but that's because of the round shape of the robot - the brushes weren't able to reach it.
