This video explains the indications for a routine head scan as well as the most common scan parameters. Objectives: 1. Identify common clinical indications for routine CT head scans, including when to use contrast versus non-contrast imaging, and explain why specific scan modes like axial and helical are selected. 2. Determine appropriate slice thickness, gantry tilt, and alignment with the supraorbital meatal line to optimize image quality and minimize artifacts or unnecessary radiation exposure. 3. Differentiate between standard and bone algorithms, as well as corresponding window width and level settings, explaining how each enhances visualization of soft tissues and bony structures in CT head imaging. ➡️ JOIN OUR COMMUNITY: / cloverlearning / cloverlearning.inc #cloverlearning #radiology #computedtomography
