ERN eUROGEN Webinar 43: Gonadal Surgery and Histology in DSD Patients

This webinar was presented on Wednesday 1 June by Prof. Gilvydas Verkauskas from the Faculty of Medicine, Vilnius University, Lithuania, drs. Darius Dasevicius from the National Centre of Pathology, Vilnius, Lithuania and Prof. Faruk Hadziselimovic from the Cryptorchidism Research Institute, Children’s Day Care Centre Liestal, Switzerland. It is aimed at health care professionals and patients groups. Differences or disorders of sex development continue to be a management challenge for multidisciplinary teams in the reference centres. One of debatable questions- indications, timing and evaluation of gonadal surgery and pathology, is addressed together by different specialists for each category of DSD. eUROGEN is the European Reference Network for rare and complex urorectogenital diseases and conditions. Our multidisciplinary teams of experts are able to diagnose, suggest treatment or surgery, and then provide post-operative and transitional support.
