This hike is considered hard (Alltrails- https://www.alltrails.com/trail/canad... ) and should not be attempted without proper trip planning and with at least one group member having wilderness skills. I have completed the footpath in both directions and tried to identify parts of the trails we found more difficult to navigate It is important to note that all distances follow the guidebook distances which are linear kilometers and therefore do not account for altitude changes. This is important for measuring daily distance goals and pace. It can become very discouraging in zones such as between little salmon and goose creek where altitude changes can account for as much as 2 km. In general, you can add 0.5 km for every valley you must cross as most will be ~200 meters down and ~200 meters up. It is also important to bring necessary gear to be able to complete this hike safely and comfortably without over packing (such as bringing a drone lol). Depending on which end you start, one vehicle can be parked at P8 in the fundy trail parkway and the other vehicle at point wolfe lower parking directly after the covered bridge (fees will apply for accessing and parking in both areas). Please note you should register with fundy trail parkway when completing the footpath https://fundytrailparkway.com/locatio... and you must notify them when you have completed the trail. Reservations for campsites is not necessary at the time of publishing this video. However, reservations may be required in the future to prevent having to many people at the same campsites. I tried to give a good overview of the different campsites in term of space, water access and wind exposure to help with trip planning. Here is a summary of our trip by day (recommend 3-5 days): Day 1: Point Wolfe to Goose Creek (~20 km). First 13 km on Goose River trail is faster pace and from KM#0 of Fundy Footpath to KM#7.5 becomes more technical but with moderate elevation changes Day 2: Goose Creek to Wolf Brook (~12 km). One of the highest cumulative elevation change section with around 6 valleys. Don’t be fooled by the linear distance with this section Day 3: Wolf Brook to Walton Glen parking P15 (~9 km): This sections brings you into the beautiful Rapidy gorge and has one of the highest elevation change sometimes called heart attack hill (descent to Little Salmon). Due to inclement weather we had to end our trip here and completed the trail later in the summer. We could have easily reached Cradle Brook but were planning to reach seely beach.
