The Le Jardin Secret collection sprang from the concept of organic growth and life giving force of nature and explores. Exploring depth of print and perspective on the body. The collections statement print is an impressionist-style floral print scattered over cropped trousers, blouses and camisoles and in a series of structured cocktail dresses. The florals mix of bright greens, rich red and pale pinks sets the tone for a collection that is filled with bright clashing colour balanced by softer pastel shades. camilla and marc establishes two key silhouettes for the Spring 2012 season. The first is soft and elegantly flowing, seen in wide legged silk trousers worn with simple long sleeved blouses that reveal a flash of the back when seen from behind. Sleeveless silk dresses that skim the ground have a sense of gentle movement to the cut, as do simple strapless styles with asymmetric hems. All available in bright pop shades of pink, yellow and orange as well as classic black, white and soft beige. Neat tailoring makes up the second silhouette, with fitted suits in shades of mint, dusky pink and rose offering a directly opposing viewpoint. Trousers are slim in the leg and cropped at the ankle, matched with a single breasted blazer featuring a narrow lapel and skinny sleeves with just enough room in the cut to allow for a silk shirt with an oversized collar to fit perfectly underneath. Similarly cocktail dresses are cut to a structured clean line, either strapless and fitted to the waist or with a narrow tulip skirt. A sense of sweet femininity is injected with a series of soft mini dresses featuring ruffled collars and fuller skirts, offered in a black and beige linear style floral or pure black. A 5-piece story of navy and cream polka dotted silk styles, including a mini skirt, one shouldered dress and button shirt feel sweet and youthful. Eveningwear rounds out this seasons offer. A series of floor length gowns in striking cream or black injected with a golden shimmer are a dramatic option. The brand also offers a masculine alternative with silk twill tuxedos with contrast lapels and grosgrain trim down the leg. Le Jardin Secret is a well-considered and balanced collection, offering the brands signature elements, with a fresh feel. When combined with a silk tuxedo story the effect is youthful and modern.
