There are a few great BLM campgrounds at the foot of the Sierras as you travel up or down Hwy 395. Here is one of them I always spend a day or more at recharging on my road trips. ABOUT US: We have been "Semi-Nomads" for the past 5 years - so far. I have spent the last 6 yrs. constantly upgrading my used 2008 Pleasure Ways Sprinter Ascent which I am reaching the end of. We mostly boondock and dry camp in the national forests, state parks or BLM lands across the west. We also enjoy various Harvest Host stays as members. We search out interesting and beautiful locations to camp in and enjoy the beauty and solitude of nature across the west. IT IS MY GOAL TO: Explore the western United States from the pacific coast to the prairie grasslands and from within Canada to the Mexican border.
