Everything I use is listed here - https://nanoscape.me/ Transforming a 2-Gallon Nano Cube Aquarium into a Planted Shrimp Ecosystem In this video, I show you the complete setup and transformation of my 2-gallon nano cube aquarium into a thriving planted shrimp ecosystem over 250 days. I started by adding crushed lava rock and Aquasoil as the substrate. After placing the substrate, I added a small amount of water to make planting easier. For plants, I used Pearlweed (Hemianthus micranthemoides) and filled in some spots with a mix of different Rotala varieties. Every month or so, I trimmed the plants and replanted the stems to make them thicker. I performed weekly water changes using a siphon hose, which made the job much easier. I used dechlorinated tap water and did not use any CO2 or liquid fertilizers. I introduced a small group of blue dream shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) and drip-acclimated them using airline tubing with a flow valve. This nano cube aquarium was fun to watch grow, and I’m excited to create more nano planted aquariums in the future!
