This is Clevver’s Best of 2015. Justin and Adele were both a force to be reckoned with in 2015. They both released incredible albums that went to number one on the Billboard Charts after their first week and made sure all eyes and ears were on them. So, who had the better comeback? Let’s take a look at the stats… Adele recently came back from a 2 year hiatus to focus on her personal life with her lovely boyfriend and also made time to have a baby. You know, sometimes you just need a break from consistently topping the charts and making fabulous music! She’s only human people! I mean, we’d so love if she was a music making machine, but at the end of the day, taking time off gave her the material to comeback with some amazing music, all while also having a life… SLAYYY. Justin came back from…well...being a kid. For about a year and a half he went a little crazy doing teenager things like egging houses and doing some, let’s just say, irresponsible things... His career skyrocketed at 13 after being discovered by Usher and he was thrust into the spotlight, so it’s only natural that he needed that time to grow. We can’t really blame you Justin! Before Adele left us for two years, she was extremely successful, yet kept her personal life on the DL. We knew about her heartbreaks through her music and we felt what she felt. LIKE REALLY FELT. Her most dramatic move so far was her absolutely gorgeous re-entrance into the music scene. Like HELLO I’M HERE… “Hello” hit us like a bag of bricks. Emotional, rough, and filled with tears. Let’s just talk about the title of her new song. All she needed was ONE word. A word we use every day. A word that’s usually taken for granted. Adele makes us REthink every time we’ve said hello and possibly all our life choices so far! That’s Deep… Adele’s album 25 has already beaten out the former competition for having sold the most records in the first week of an albums release. Before 25, NSYNC held the slot for 15 years selling 2,416,000, for their album ‘No Strings Attached,’ while Adele has managed to take the crown selling a whopping 2,433,000 in just the first THREE days… If that doesn’t solidify her slot on this breakdown, I’m not sure what will! BUTTT now…. Let’s compare that with Justin’s career pre-comeback. It’s hard to say that a 21 year old has already had a comeback, but we aren’t putting it past him. Justin rocked our world at the young age of 13, and had all of America drawing little hearts in their notebooks… ANDDD THEN something happened... People started giving him a really hard time and then he had a bit of a breakdown after dating AND ending things with his ex-flame Selena Gomez… Someone who has 3 tracks written about her in his new album ‘Purpose’ “Purpose” has songs that show Justin’s new found maturity. “Sorry” is obviously about his relationship with Selena that asks if it’s too late now to say sorry… ALSO, that he’ll take the blame if necessary... Look at our boy ALL GROWED up! Selena, after maturing herself through her new album “Revival” says that she is proud of him AND says that this is what she always saw in him… Maybe they will get back together in the future and make musical babies? Eh? #DreamGoals Justin has broken a Billboard hot 100 record that we previously held by The Beatles and Drake, having a whopping 17 songs on the Billboard hot 100 at ONE time…. Ughh, CRAZY… The Beatles and Drake held the crown before with an impressive 14 songs. Andddd this is just casually after Justin’s album hit number 1 on the billboard hot 200, slamming his competition that was One Direction, who released an album on the SAME DAY! Justin’s emotional maturity was shown at the VMA’s in August when he got teary eyed after singing “What Do You Mean?”...
