Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) Co-leader Amira Mohamed Ali slammed the German government over plans to reform conscription laws and massively increase the defence budget. Speaking on December 6, Ali called the proposals “absolute madness”, warning that by 2035, every second euro of the federal budget could flow into defence spending. She also criticized mandatory military service, describing it as political misuse of the Bundeswehr, and condemned Germany’s continued arms supplies to Israel.
