What a Guest I have today on my Clarendon Chronicles Podcast - Jan Ward. In this Podcast, Jan shares with us her journey as a Founder, Leader & Entrepreneur, starting from scratch with no capital, to becoming one of the most respected businesswomen in the UK, and being honoured with a CBE. This does not happen by chance or accident, and Jan gives us some amazing advice, including: 1. Don't set up your own business thinking it will be 9-5. 2. Always keep on top of the numbers. 3. Don't create fantasy forecasts. 4. Be open and honest with your key stakeholders, and 5. Do it because you are interested in it! Jan also gives us the reason for creating her own business in the first place - and her answers may well surprise you! A brilliant 30 minutes of discussion, from someone who has really been there and done it, and continues to do so!
