PART 6 Having conquered The Sun, I'm now capable of intergalactic travel. I'll be needing Star drones in order to invade space stations in other star systems. A total of 1500 Star drones is required to win the game. Producing 1500 Star drones will reduce my stock of resources significantly (iron, titanium and aluminium in particular), so it's a good thing that I built my stock of resources early on. After building the Star drones, I continue the production of IOS drones at a "balanced pace", meaning: With the planets I chose for my colony, I'm capable of having 5 space stations building IOS drones repeatedly without wearing down my stock. I then conquer Proxima (2 Methanoid space stations). The space station locations and the resources available on the planets differ from game to game, so your gameplay experience might be different. I choose to keep the Methanoid space stations as they are prerequisites for unlocking the Sonic Blaster (part 11) and the meteor impact incident (part 12) later on. Having conquered Proxima, Hyperlight Travel is unlocked. Hyperlight travel enables my Admirals to become Warlords, giving me yet another advantage: Warlords increase the power of an IOS drone from 7 to 10, meaning: I can now use IOS drones to attack space stations instead of Star drones, once I've conquered a single station in a star system. Naturally, I turn all my Admirals into Warlords. Occassionally, lengthy waiting time occur (advancing time). These parts have been sped up (fast forward) and are displayed in grayscale.
