This intimate three-part event series hosted by Beverly Cohen kicks off with a special presentation by Dan Raz, MD, Co-Director of the Lung Cancer Program at City of Hope, who together with the Weizmann Institute's Ravid Straussman, MD, PhD made the breakthrough discovery that, unlike normal tissues, bacteria live inside the cells of nearly every type of tumor — from brain to breast to bone — and that each has a signature bacteria "footprint". These findings reveal new insights on the role of bacteria within the tumor 'ecosystem' that could help predict the effectiveness of anti-cancer treatments or lead to novel therapies.
