The Wildwoods - Sweet Niobrara

I first heard The Wildwoods when the all-powerful algorithm dropped some of their songs in my Instagram feed, and I was immediately hooked. The locked-in harmonies, the simple but still somehow intricate instrumentation… good night, it's so, so good. When I saw they were coming into town a few months back, I reached out to see if they'd be up for recording a few songs, and thankfully, they agreed! It turned out to be one of the coldest days of winter (yes, we do have winter on the Gulf Coast!), but even though we were a good distance from the modest fire I set to keep us warm, The Wildwoods—hailing from Nebraska—braved the chill and the result is fantastic. This session turned into something truly special, and I’m excited to share it with you.
