This was my first time fly fishing the ocean and fly fishing for coho salmon! It was really cool seeing the coho salmon swimming in schools like flying 'V's through the water, seeing the seals (bastards) pinning them to the East side of the estuary, and watching all the anglers shift outward to the ocean as the water level dropped toward low tide. I had a really fun time exploring Ambleside Beach and salmon fly fishing, even though me and everyone else beside me all got skunked. The current was really strong far out by the ocean, so be careful if you go wading out there!
