Dozens of structures were damaged or destroyed by a major eruption, as superheated gas currents and destructive lahars swept down the southeast flank of the Semeru volcano on November 19th. It is now two days later, and the extent of the damage which occurred is beginning to become clear. Today's video will discuss this major eruption and why it occurred through the knowledge and analysis of a geologist.
