Customs has intercepted 12 trucks loaded with cooking oil, tomato paste and spaghetti in a massive GHC85 million transit-fraud bust. These trucks were electronically gated out from the Akanu Border Post, declared as transit goods to Niger but were secretly diverted into Ghana. This is one pf the biggest revenue-protection operations of the year, involving Customs, National Security and enforcement teams from Tema and Headquarters.
