Welcome to Storykeepers. Shilpa Patil is a dynamic public health leader whose work bridges research, advocacy, and community impact. Currently a PhD student in Epidemiology at the UNT Health Science Center and an Albert Schweitzer Fellowship recipient, she champions health equity through community-engaged research and service. In this episode Shilpa join us at The Storykeepers for an engaging conversation where she shares her immigrant journey and insights. Storykeepers is a space where real stories are honored, held, and heard. A collaborative production between Prerana Sakhi Network and Blue Marigold Collab, this series brings forward voices that are often overlooked - stories of migration, reinvention, resilience, identity, womanhood, ambition, love, loss, and becoming. Stories are told from memories, and are like maps. They help us make sense of where we have been and who we are becoming. Each season aims to gather a collection of deeply personal narratives, told in the storyteller’s own voice, sharing their lived experiences. We are sure these stories deserve to be documented. Offering permission to others to see themselves reflected, and to speak. Welcome to Storykeepers. Come sit with us! Please like, subscribe to our channels.
