Although it might look like this drone came together quickly, in reality the Aeronyx5 has been nearly two months in the making. This design went through multiple materials, layout revisions, and plenty of crash tests (both planned and unplanned). The result is a 3D printed FPV frame that not only performs the way I envisioned, but also takes a surprising beating compared to what you might expect from a printed build. The Aerobat line is also about aesthetics, each frame is designed to stand out, with a clean, purposeful look that feels different from standard cut carbon plates. This video walks through the full process: from CAD design, to printing, cleanup, assembly, and finally flight testing. The Aeronyx5 is now at the point where it’s both a stable flying platform and a durable crash-tested frame. Thanks to the tough nature of carbon nylon, the Aeronyx5 has proven itself as a serious alternative to traditional carbon fiber. Its strong and resilient without the brittleness you’d expect from printed parts. Looking ahead, the Aeronyx5 will be made available as part of the AerobatFPV performance line. My goal is to make it accessible for other pilots who want something refined and reliable without having to print or test it themselves. Alongside that, I’ll still be sharing some open-source designs and accessories for the community, but the Aeronyx5 itself will be offered as a ready-to-purchase frame, with the possibility of pre-built options in the future. Thanks so much for taking an interest in this project — it means a lot, and it keeps me motivated to keep pushing AerobatFPV forward.
