CHUV is a leading university hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland. Its neurosciences department is the lead investigator for subproject 8 (Medical Informatics) of the EU-funded Human Brain Project (HBP). HBP Medical Informatics Platform is the deliverable of a research project co-developed by 9 EU and Swiss hospitals and research institutes: CHUV, EPFL, Tel Aviv University, University of Athens, Charité Hospital Berlin, INSERM Grenoble, Fraunhofer-Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing (SCAI) St Augustin, Kings College London, Institut Pasteur Paris. HBP Medical Informatics Platform (HBP MIP) is the digital platform and network of 30 EU hospitals developed within the Human Brain Project. It allows hospitals and research centres to share medical data collected from patients suffering from brain diseases. It enables online users to access accurate and relevant information on brain-related diseases, while strictly preserving patient's confidentiality and consent.
