Legendary Buddy Rich Slingerland 4x14 Snare Drum With High Tech Drum Solo Demo

This is my 1971 Slingerland Buddy Rich model 4x14 snare drum. One of the best snare drums I have ever played. It has a 3 ply shell maple, poplar, maple, with solid maple rings. The hoops are straight edge chrome over brass with the Slingerland zoomatic snare strainer. Buddy never wanted a tone control on his snare drum, so none on his model snare. Buddy played this snare drum from 69 to 71 in marine pearl or the chrome metal wrap. In my drum solo demo of this rare Buddy Rich 4x14 model snare drum, I use a lot of high technique drumming. The very crisp sound of this snare drum means that every beat I play comes out very clearly. With the chrome over brass hoops, this snare drum has great rim shots. What you are hearing is a wide open sound with no muffling. The rolls come out like silk with the right drumming technique. I use this snare drum a lot with my Ken Loomer Big Band.
