A Lens That Liberates | Epiphany Sunday Worship

Welcome to worship at Oak Lawn. In this Epiphany Sunday service, we hear scripture from Micah 6 and Matthew 5 and reflect on how Christ reshapes the way we see the world. Pastor Rachel explores Epiphany as a season of revelation—not only seeing Christ more clearly, but allowing Christ to change the lens through which we view justice, mercy, power, and blessing. This service invites us to remember that blessing comes first, that faith is measured by justice and kindness, and that freedom is never partial. As we enter Black History Month, we pray with the words and witness of the Black freedom tradition, holding fast to the truth that nobody is free until everybody is free.
