At the start of 1972 the 3rd Battalion the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers deployed to Northern Ireland as a part of Operation Banner. The battalion was given a wide area of responsibility around Dungannon, Coalisland, Armagh and Londonderry, with satelite platoons on the border areas of Fermanagh. This film is about one small incident in 9 Platoon C Company's time in Rosslea. Having had a busy four months they were preparing to handover to a new unit when another incident occurred. this time causing injuries. The film is in the words of Mick Taylor, remembering the events of the time and what happened to him. Please watch to the end to see how the physical wounds to some veterans take years, decades, to heal.
