DTV Shredder, you may have heard of them...or not. The DTV Shredder is like nothing else I have ever been on, which quite honestly makes it very interesting. I have been following this company and talking with them back and forth for a while. So when DTV Shredder reached out and said "Hey, we now have a dealership in Western Minnesota," I quickly jumped on the offer to drive 8 hours for this review. So we set it up, and we made the trek to Western Minnesota after Christmas to meet up with Bob at Minnesota Extreme Shredder to check these machines out. As we drove there we talked about how we expected the review to go and the type of shots we needed to get. Then we got there, and everything changed. I was immediately surprised by the size and build of the Shredder. It was bigger than I expected (but not heavy), and appeared way less cheap than I expected. So we talked with Bob for a while and got his impressions of the machine (he loves them...no surprise there he sells them!). As we continued to talk and learn about the Shredder, the snow began falling more and more. The guys at Minnesota Extreme Shredder had not yet had the opportunity to get these out in a blizzard, so they were just as happy as we were to load these up and get them out for a ride. So we easily loaded a couple into the back of a pickup truck (without ramps) and took off. By the time we got to where we were going to ride and unloaded the Shredders, my anticipation was pretty high and I couldn't wait to get on one of these and take off. So I stepped on, hit the gas, and quickly learned I had no idea what I was doing. This was short-lived, however, and after 10 minutes I felt like I had it pretty much figured out. So we hit the powder hard...for hours! We did everything from shredding through fresh snow, jumping small hills, and even pulling a full-size Dodge Ram! We had such a good time and the DTV Shredder exceeded our expectations in pretty much every way. One of the biggest things we can say about these that makes them amazing is simply how unique they are. This is not like comparing a Polaris to a Canam, this is like comparing a car to an ATV. Meaning you simply can't do it because it is an entirely different concept. Below you will find a list of some Pro's and Con's for your review. So let me just end this by saying, this probably won't replace your ATV or Side by Side. But with that said, these machines definitely have (a growing) place in the offroad industry, and I understand why. Pro's 1. It has tracks...and that's just awesome 2. Lightweight and easy to get "unstuck" 3. Very unique and different 4. Comes with a Snorkel! 5. Has a good towing capacity for work on the farm 6. No trailer needed, Easily fits in the back of a truck...or van 7. Stops almost Instantly Con's 1. You are generally stuck riding alone unless your friend has one too 2. Without modifying, it maxes around 25 mph (does have a 200cc engine though) 3. Does not replace your ATV or Side by Side 4. No lights included on the machine 5.
