Our Misadventure, Cenote, and Volcanoes in the lesser explored Wild East zone of El Salvador

San Miguel town lies on the eastern end of El Salvador towards the border of Honduras. We stayed in San Miguel for a few days to explore the town. We made a friend, Manuel, while traveling on a bus in San Salvador. He is from San Miguel and spent a day with us in Moncagua, the caves, and the town, ending the day with some pupusas. The Conchagua volcano is located at the edge of the Pacific Ocean, where we could see Nicaragua and Honduras at a distance from the top of the volcano. It was a bumpy ride to the top, with some excellent views, and ended with a misadventure that opened a series of events.
