Project Fast Fish: 318 Stroker Build - Part 1 Season 1: Episode 3 Project Fast Fish is based on the restoration and modification of a Plymouth Barracuda. Links to parts used are below. This video features a walk-through of a 318 to 349 stroker build and represents Part 1 of 3. We look at the machine work from a local machine shop and install the crank, the cam and oil plate. We had a spare 318 engine that was once housed in the ‘73 Barracuda. After being pulled from storage and gutted, it was sent to Roger’s Automotive Machine in Lake City, FL. There it was bored .030 over, bathed in a hot tank, had the freeze plugs installed and the cam bearings installed. They did some great work on the cylinder heads and connecting rods as well. Those will be featured in parts 2 and 3. A 318 with .030 over and a 3.58” stroke from the 360 crank equals 349 ci. Our goal is to sell this stroker and use the proceeds to help fund Project Fast Fish.
