This is an educational video giving details about Darnet fort sitting on the River Medway, there was 2 forts side by side whith just a small stretch of water between them, Darnet fort and Fort Hoo (See Part 2 - Fort Hoo to see how similar they are) The 2 forts had a boom between them to stop ships passing through. Although access is allowed, Darnet Fort has been deliberately flooded to restrict access whereas Fort Hoo is still MOD owned and access is denied, Both forts are the same design and still in remarkably good condition for their age
